SMS terms and conditions

1. Brand

Text messages under these terms are sent by RBIT Systems, a managed IT services provider based in Los Angeles, California. All of our text messages come from our single business number, 310-304-4014.

2. What messages we send and why

Our text messages are conversational, one-to-one service messages tied to your inquiry or to work we are doing for you. They are sent by a person, not by an automated campaign system. Typical messages include:

• Scheduling and confirming appointments and on-site visits.
• Status updates on an open support ticket or project.
• Notices about a service outage or planned maintenance affecting you.
• Follow-up questions we need answered to resolve an issue.
• Replies to a text you sent us.

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we do not send bulk or automated text blasts.

3. How you opt in

You opt in by giving us your mobile number and ticking the SMS consent box on our contact form. The box is unchecked by default, and ticking it is never a condition of purchasing any product or service. We keep a record of each opt-in, including when it was given.

4. Message frequency

Message frequency varies. Because our messages follow a conversation rather than a schedule, the number you receive depends on what is happening with your inquiry or engagement. Many people receive only a handful of messages. There is no recurring or automated send.

5. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. RBIT Systems does not charge you for text messages, but your mobile carrier may charge you for sending or receiving them according to your plan. Contact your carrier for details.

6. How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts from us. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and we will send no further texts to your number. If you opt out by mistake, reply START to resume.

8. Supported carriers and delivery

Our messages are supported on major US mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed, so we do not use text messaging for anything time critical or safety critical.

9. Privacy

Your mobile number and your consent are handled as described in our privacy policy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with, sold to, or rented to any third party for any purpose.

10. Changes and contact
